Auroville Earth Institute

Representative for Asia of the UNESCO Chair for Earthen Architecture

The Auroville Earth Institute is researching, developing, promoting and transferring earth-based technologies, which are cost and energy effective. These technologies are disseminated through training courses, seminars, workshops, manuals and documents. The Institute is also offering various services, and provides consultancy within and outside India. The Auroville Earth Institute is today the representative for Asia of the UNESCO Chair "Earthen Architecture, Constructive Cultures and Sustainable Development". This Chair aims to accelerate the dissemination of scientific and technical know-how on earthen architecture amongst the higher education institutions, in the following three domains: environment and heritage, human settlements, and economy and production.

L'Avenir d'Auroville

L'Avenir d'Auroville is the planning group established to ensure that the development of the Auroville Township is in accordance with the ideal that was the base for its creation.

FAMC

Auroville's Funds and Assets Management Committee has the responsibility to ensure the financial viability of collective housing and public building projects.

Auroville Housing Service

Serves as a subgroup of the FAMC, its main focus is to manage and allocate housing. The Auroville Housing Service will financially contribute to the Realization Project.

Auroville Council

The Council is elected by Auroville's population and controls the different official groups of the City.
