Description
Liquid Flow is a form of bodywork practiced in warm water, inspired by the forms and qualities of Watsu, Aqua Wellness, and Healing Dance etc. It is in an ongoing process of being developed and practiced here in Auroville.
In this course we will practice basic techniques and qualities (grounding, presence, stillness, movement, attention) of being and moving another body in the water. You will experience floating other people and being floated, on the surface and under water. Creating spaces for deep relaxation and nurturing of body, mind and spirit.
You might also discover that this kind of bodywork is something you would like to explore further, in which case this course will serve as a perfect precursor to Liquid Flow - Essence, or basic courses of Watsu and Aquawellness & Watsu 1 in India. |

Bio
Dariya
Dariya, origin Slovenia, has lived in Auroville since 1991. She lives in the community of Sve-dame. She works in water and on land. Her training in water includes: aquatic bodywork; Watsu, Aquawellness, Dolphin Dance, Healing Dance, and Free Flow. On land: She has attended many workshops in dance and bodywork in Europe and Auroville including: Bhuto, contact improvisation, The 5 Elements, basic Bharat Natyam, massage (Ayurvedic and Thai), and ongoing explorations.
Dariya worked with children in the Kindergarten for two years guiding them in movement expression. Since 1998 she has been guiding and organizing movement /dance exploration for adults and initiating performances. For two years she has been guiding a group in the water as well as offering individual aquatic bodywork sessions. Since spring 2005 she is exploring the possibilities of working in the water with Deepam – program for disabled village children.
Daniel
Daniel, origin Switzerland, has been in and out of Auroville since summer 2004. He is now a Newcomer since September 2006 living in the community of Sve-dame. He is a Certified Aquatic body worker in Watsu (water shiatsu) and WATA (Water Dance) with ongoing training in Aquatic bodywork (Watsu, WATA, Aquawellness, Dolphin Dance, Healing dance, and Liquid Flow in Europe and in Auroville. He has a diploma in body oriented psychotherapy and breath therapy. Daniel has assisted several Watsu 1 & 2 courses in CH and AV. Since December 2004 he has been offering Liquid Flow Basic and Essence courses. Daniel also offers individual aquatic bodywork sessions/ Watsu, WATA and Liquid Flow.
