Description
This massage combines the pressure of points or marmas and the relaxing and rejuvenating effects of aromatic oils according to your constitutional type (Vata, Pitta or Kapha which means Air, Fire or Water). It balances body and mind as it is acting not only on the physical level but also on the energetic level. It cleans and nourishes, gives fresh energy to the muscles and bones, revitalizes the skin and tones the nervous system. |

Bio Kalyani was born in 1949 in the south of France and has been an Aurovilian since 1978. She started to practice hatha yoga at the age of sixteen, received the Vedantic Initiation and pranayama technique from Swami Hridayananda from Rishikesh in 1977. In Auroville in 1985, she began to practice Kalaripayattu (the Martial Art of Kerala) with Master Rajan Gurukkal, and also Ayurvedic medicine and massage. She is a member of the Kalari of Master Vasugurukkal, Kerala, who taught her additional pranayama techniques. Kalyani teaches Kalaripayattu, Tai Chi Chuan and gives pranayama and massage workshops. Her compilation files on these subjects are available at Laboratory of Evolution where she has worked since 1992 as a librarian and researcher. |
