Description
This work is about neuromuscular re-education (mind-body training) in the tradition of Thomas Hanna. Somatics is a system of slow mindful movements. It is a gentle, easy and effective way to help you manage chronic and acute pain. Other benefits include more ease in the body, better posture and deep relaxation. It teaches you to recognize, release and reverse chronic pain patterns resulting from injury, stress, or habituated postures (often assumed to be the inevitable, untreatable, bi-products of aging). "Soma" is a Greek word for the living body, which Hanna re-defined as the body experienced from within, where we experience mind/body integration.
Open to all - anyone can benefit from more space and less stress in the body. During the workshop you will learn Somatic exercises so that you can continue with your own daily practice. |
